We offer dog training, group Classes, Board and Trains, rehabilitation, dog daycare and a pet retail store with dog food and supplies. We are all about helping you have the best well mannered and healthy pet that you can have.
Urban K9 all started as a better way to train your dog and then evolved to dog daycare boarding and supplies. We are located in Coldstream, BC and have helped clients and their dogs from Vernon, Kamloops, Vancouver and from all over BC and Alberta.
We work with all breeds, sizes and ages and address anything including basic obedience, walking on a leash, reactive dogs to severe separation anxiety.
We believe in helping the dog as a whole, giving your dog a good healthy diet. For us a balanced Raw food diet is best for your dog. Just imagine if you you ate potato chips all day every day you would feel like crap, that is what a dog feels like if fed a diet that is missing all the good fresh nutrients.

I started Urban K9 was so I could help people overcome their frustration with their dogs only listening to them if they had treats to bribe the dog. I wanted something better for people to have a great dog that listens and respects you without having to use treats or other gimmicks and for you to be able to take the dog anywhere and not worry.
That’s why we work with the dogs in real life situations, and I teach you how to work around any and all types of distractions without the use of treats!
Each dog is a unique individual and not one method of training will work for every dog and and every problem. That is why I am continuously furthering my education from some of the best dog trainers in the world. I want to be able to to bring the best methods and new cutting edge dog training to you the client.
I believe it’s important to continue education in dog training. We can never stop learning!
